Ceramic Christmas tree with flashing lights

I’ve had this tree for awhile and always wanted to put flashing lights on it. I found some multi-color flashing LEDs and wired it up. It has 63 of these lights on it and looks pretty cool.

Ataristeve’s Christmas tree

My Christmas tree for 2011… it was up before Thanksgiving, but I didn’t have enough working lights to put on it. Mom got me some GE C-7 ceramic sets for it. My niece, Allie, came over to put ornaments on. We managed to only break two shiny glass balls! ;) Merry Christmas everyone!

Here is Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree from Brenda Lee, one of the modern standards of Christmas in the last five decades, and in all seriousness who could go wrong with it? And furthermore, who can go wrong with the amazing mono mix? Anyway, the decoration this time is the living room Christmas Tree in the background, for this song nothing else seemed appropriate. And the ornament in the center hole zoom-in is an old ceramic ornament made by me when I was in Kindergarten. The same teacher also gave us an apple ornament, but the record is blocking that from sight. Originally released by Decca Records 1958

O (Aluminum) Christmas Tree

In case you’ve ever wanted some behind the scenes details about Dad’s Super 8 Theater, I’ll let you in on a couple secrets. First, the videos are edited way, way in advance. In fact, they have all been edited for several weeks as of this writing. The writings are done some time later, but still far in advance of being posted. Example, the date of this writing is Thursday, October 27th, 2011. The video in question here was edited exactly one month ago. I bring this up because I don’t recall ever taking crack in my life, but I must have been on crack a month ago. I put Christmas music into this video when the events are actually filmed around Thanksgiving time. I am guessing Thanksgiving of 1974. It was the last year my Grandpa Miller would have Thanksgiving with us. (Meaning, of course, that he passed away a few months later, not that he went out and found another family he liked better to have holidays with). It all begins with mom carving the turkey. This should have been a hint to my younger self that this is a film about Thanksgiving, not Christmas. We very rarely had turkey on Christmas. Ham was more a Christmas meal, not turkey. My grandparents are sitting so proper and nice at the table, looking reverent and thankful for the camera and there I am waving. I can’t keep that damned hand still. In my defense, though, it is a MOVIE! Who wants to watch a film of people sitting and doing nothing? Besides you, that is. My brother and I sure are chewing that turkey. Mom is a

Okay battery died at the end…but what I was trying to say…Trim A Tree wont work well if your matt is starting to dull…i got so mad…had to cut that dam tree 4x! So anyways, I used several items in these 8 cards. Cartidges: Winter Woodland, Gingerbread, and Trim a Tree.Several punches, left overs , and some extra items I had from having a ceramic shop (the little lights). Man it pays to keep items! My favorite on these are the Frosty Kisses and of course the real light up Christmas Tree card! I’m sure you understand why that one won’t be mailed! I have 3 more to get done before Wednesday, but I was hoping to do a few extras…like 5 more. I have so many things I want to try. But I also have the 3 mini albums to hope to finish by Tuesday evening…at least that’s the hope. Stay tunned…but if you want to see more go to my facebook page…Charming Custom Crafts and hit like so you get auto updates.
